These Terms of Use (the "Terms") form a binding agreement between you and TECO LLC, Yerevan, Republic of Armenia ("TECO," "we," "our," or "us"), the company that operates Snoutlas ("Snoutlas" or "the app"). By creating an account, using the app, uploading content, purchasing, or subscribing, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Snoutlas.
For any questions, contact us at support@snoutlas.com.
What Snoutlas is
Snoutlas lets you photograph animals, identifies the species with AI, and turns each find into a collectible card with a randomly determined rarity. You can optionally publish finds to a shared feed, add friends, gift and trade cards, decorate cards with frames, and see finds on a map. Snoutlas is a collecting game, not a scientific or veterinary tool.
Eligibility and age
Snoutlas is not intended for children under 13, and you must be at least 13 to use it. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you must be at least 16, or the minimum age set by the law of your country, unless a parent or legal guardian provides consent on your behalf. By using Snoutlas you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
Accounts
Snoutlas uses Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must not impersonate anyone or misuse display names, @usernames, avatars, or card names, and you must keep your account information accurate.
Subscriptions, purchases, and credits
Snoutlas offers an auto-renewing subscription (SnoutPass) and consumable art credits, purchased through Apple.
- SnoutPass is an auto-renewing monthly subscription.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time through your Apple ID subscription settings.
- Deleting your Snoutlas account does not cancel an Apple subscription. You must cancel it through Apple.
- Consumable credits are final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law or by Apple policy; refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.
- All purchases and subscriptions made through the App Store are also governed by Apple's terms and policies.
To the extent Snoutlas relies on Apple's standard End User License Agreement, it is available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.
Virtual items
SnoutCoins, boosts, lenses, frames, card rarities, and similar in-app items are virtual items. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for real money or anything of value outside the app, and are not transferable outside the app's own features (such as gifting and trading between users inside Snoutlas). We may adjust, rebalance, or remove virtual items — including balances obtained through bugs, fraud, or abuse — to protect the fairness and integrity of the game.
User content
You can upload animal photos, name your cards, publish finds to the feed, and comment on posts. You are responsible for everything you submit and must hold all rights needed to upload and share it. Upload only photos you took yourself, and do not upload photos of people or other content unrelated to animals.
By submitting content, you grant TECO permission to host, store, process, analyze (including AI species recognition and, at your request, AI artwork generation), display, and distribute that content as needed to operate, improve, secure, and support the app. You keep ownership of your content. Content you publish to the feed is visible to other Snoutlas users.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abuse
Snoutlas has zero tolerance for objectionable user-generated content and abusive behavior. You may not submit, display, or share content that is objectionable, abusive, harassing, hateful, sexual, violent, illegal, infringing, exploitative, deceptive, threatening, cruel to animals, or unsafe.
This applies to photos, comments, display names, @usernames, avatars, card names, and all other public or shared content. We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts when content or behavior violates these Terms or creates risk for users, animals, or the service.
Moderation, reporting, and blocking
You can report an objectionable post or comment directly in the app, and you can block a user — blocking immediately hides their content from your feed. You can also report content or users by contacting support@snoutlas.com.
We review reports and act on confirmed objectionable content within 24 hours by removing the content and, where appropriate, restricting or terminating the account that provided it. You can delete your own posts and comments at any time.
Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- Upload only content that you own or have permission to share.
- Photograph animals lawfully and respectfully: do not disturb, harm, bait, chase, or endanger animals, habitats, protected areas, other people, or yourself, and respect private property.
- Avoid fraud and manipulation: no fake captures (for example, photographing screens or pictures to farm cards), no abuse of purchases, entitlements, coins, quests, trades, or gifting, no spam, scraping, reverse engineering, or security bypasses.
AI results and AI artwork
Snoutlas uses AI to identify animals and to generate optional artwork versions of your photos. AI results can be inaccurate or incomplete: a species or breed may be identified incorrectly, and generated artwork is a stylized interpretation that may differ from the real animal. AI results are provided for entertainment and general information only and are not professional, veterinary, medical, safety, conservation, or emergency advice. Never approach or handle wildlife based solely on an AI result.
Our intellectual property
The Snoutlas app, including its name, logo, design, card designs and frames, software, and other materials we provide, is owned by TECO LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding or materials except as needed to use the app as intended.
Account deletion
You can delete your account in the app through Profile → Settings → Delete account. Deletion erases your data as described in the Privacy Policy and revokes the Sign in with Apple connection. Virtual items and balances are deleted with the account and are not compensated. Deleting your Snoutlas account does not cancel any Apple subscription, which you must cancel through your Apple ID settings.
Availability and changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may also update these Terms as the app evolves. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Continuing to use Snoutlas after updated Terms are posted means you accept them.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the app, abuse other users, misuse animal or location features, infringe rights, evade moderation, or use Snoutlas in a way that harms users, animals, partners, or the product.
Disclaimers
Snoutlas is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including those of accuracy, availability, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TECO LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost purchases, loss of goodwill, or any harm arising from your use of the app.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Armenia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to Snoutlas will be subject to the courts located there, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
